Cybersecurity update - August 2018

By admin - August 13, 2018

Organisations across Australia are experiencing a dramatic spike in the number of cyber security attacks.

According to the government’s Stay Smart Online’s research, 59% of organisations experience a cyber breach regularly. While these range in severity, the threat can be disruptive and even fatal to an organisation and its reputation.

Where previously organisations were protected by hardware and software firewalls, cyber criminals have become increasingly sophisticated, making it necessary for business to develop and maintain active cyber-security protocols to protect their valuable assets – including private and confidential customer data.

Below are insights from Pitcher Partners’ Cybersecurity division, which specialises in assisting organisations to assess, develop and implement cybersecurity protocols, processes and systems in the fight against everchanging cyberthreats.
